Can't take them anywhere!

For years my mother would always complain about cell phones, either we used them to much or they were never on when she tried to call!! BUT NOW, she is one of us and might even be worse!! The whole time she was here she was texting, (who would have thought she would learn how to do that) taking pictures and so on and so on! Here I have proof that both of my parents of crossed over to the darkside as she would say.

Eckert's Pumpkin Patch in Millstadt, IL

Pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins! I loved this place! It had apple orchards, pig races and farm animals! Here are just a few pictures of all the pumpkins and the patch itself!

Anthony's a good sport!

Three years ago I decided that I wanted to go to a pumpkin patch I was missing being a kid and wanted to enjoy some kid activities so I drug Anthony to the pumpkin patch. He got to skip last year due to living in the middle of no where Georgia and working nights, halloween came and went and we missed it! So this year once again I convinced him to go with me to a pumpkin patch. I did, however, explain to him that next year will be more fun as we will have a baby to enjoy this adventure with. This is him enjoying the pumpkin patch.

After the pumpkin patch, I did treat him to Fast Eddies which is a motorcycle bar, that is world famous! Can I just say it is kind of scary, but the food was good and cheap! He enjoyed it and was happy to have some beers and spend some time with me!

Family Reunion!

While visiting the botantical gardens we discovered guords. Now I know many people grow them and I understand that they are related to the squash family and some are in the squash family, however, I do not see the point in these interesting nutrient suckers! I do have to admit they are rather cool hanging from this arbor looking canopy.

I dont think that I will be planting any of these anytime soon, as I dont have enough for the things I CAN EAT!

I am turning into my mother....

In August we drove to Washington to visit family and friends, but also to attend my grandparents anniversary party/birthday party/any other event that might have happened that year. We had a great time, except for it being extremely hot, my morning sickness, and ALOT of little old women with bad perfume!!

As I have gotten older I have stumbled upon some things that I do or say that are just like my mother. Scary I know, when as a teenager you spend your years trying not to be like your mother!!! I think it is sort of a right of passage though, and I have come to realize that turning into my mother isnt really so bad. Anyway, my point is that a friend captured these two pictures at my grandmothers party and these facial expression our, if you know my mother, exactly my mother!



This is my grandmother explaining to me who people are that were at the party, since I did not know alot of them! This is minutes before she drag me through crowds of old people that had WAY TOO MUCH perfume on, which at that time in my pregnancy made me want to vomit!! All is well now and I survived!

Parents visit to the Botanical Garden

Recently my parents came to visit us in St. Louis, they only stayed about 4 days but we had a great time showing them around our city. We found this arbor walking through the gardens, maybe someday we will have one like that. Whats a pond without a turtle!

We had a great time, and it was a beautiful day! Both Anthony and I wish my parents could have stayed longer but alas we all have to get back to work! UGH!
