A Twilight Harvest

After a wonderful dinner that my lovely hubby made we decided to go out and work in the garden for a little bit. We planted 4 more tomatoes and then decided it was time to pull up the garlic and the pearl onions. I am currently letting them dry a little before then braiding the garlic and consuming the onions!!

This is my garlic, I think it looks pretty good, I guess we will find out what it tastes like soon enough.

My wonderful weeder and helper!! I can not say enough wonderful things about how much he helps in the garden, AND he actually admitted to me tonight that HE LIKES TO WEED (SCORE!!!!) and that when we get our own place that I can have honey bees!!!! (SCORE AGAIN) I am sure the bees will be an adventure!!

Goodnight all! Depending on the weather we might finish up the zoo tomorrow! I have some planting to do in the morning and some house work that I didn't get to today! UGH! Sweet Dreams!

  1. Hey....when did you plant your garlic... that you are able to harvest it already. You told me that it takes a whole year to harvest garlic! We love your husband too (score) and can't wait to see you both in August! Sweet dreams to you too!

  3. Score all around...husband, garlic and onions!! I just read today in the Territorial Seed catalog that you are supposed to pull up garlic when it has four large leaves on it. Honey bees should be interesting...we thought about it a couple of times.
