Anthony is FIRED from plant duty!

So, I no longer have any marigolds! The last six-pack that survived Maddie Grace and EmmiLou has succombed to Maddie Grace and EmmiLou! Anthony was once again left in charge of the girls and once again they ate the marigolds, well the rest of them! Fired! Seriously, the dogs do not do things like that when I am in charge. Fired! So below is what is left of the marigolds!

Anyway, I guess I will either have to start marigolds from seed or buy more! However, I am paying for these marigolds with HIS play money! Maybe that will teach him, probably not!

Here are my cute pets, doing what pets do best. Emma chewing on the blue ball and Hope looking pathetic!

Hope everyone is having a great week! Can't wait for Thursday and Friday, my two days off, I will be sleeping on Thursday and playing on Friday!

Happy Gardening!

  1. Seriously....you haven't learned not to leave men in charge! Sorry about the Marigolds they really are a cute, hardy little flower...except I did forget to tell you one small problem with them! Slugs love them! They will eat them to the ground if you don't protect them from slugs. But maybe you don't have slugs there, just Marigold eating dogs :)

  2. Don't fire him too soon...you'll need him for the heavy duty work outside. Men never see things the way we see them...Chris sees all plants as weeds with flowers on them. I have learned to never leave him in charge of plants and watch them very carefully if they have a trimmer in hand...no plants left! Marigolds are easy to grow from seed, but they are so cheap make Anthony buy you some for Mother's Day (dogs are kind of like children) along with more flower plants for your garden.

  3. Basket Gal is right....don't leave him in charge but use him to his potential. It must be a man thing about trimming....Jeff gets a big smile when I tell him he can prune something! He likes to cut but picking up the mess not so much!
