The Zoo
So this is us at the Zoo! AND by the way it is FREE! So Anthony and I spent the day at the Zoo. Here are a few of the pictures we took! I love our camera, it takes amazing pictures. We spent probably 4 and half hours there today and we still have more to see! So in two days we have seen two major attractions.(see the Arch pictures below) We still have so much to see, we are going to have a busy summer, thats for sure! Enjoy!
These two lions were adorable. The female (the above picture)was hiding in the tree, while the male lion (the below picture) laid below the tree, she must have been inseason because he would walk around looking for her and then lick the ground where she had obviously been. I swear every animal in the zoo was feeling FRISKY. Its definitely springtime around the Zoo, there was more mating going on at this Zoo then I EVER care to see again!
This camel needed a hairbrush!
This animal is called a Bongo. There were 3 of them at the Zoo. The sign at the exhibit said that they were getting ready to go back to Africa, they are going to a place called Mt. Kenya. Supposedly there are only about a hundred left in the world. They were so pretty!
This Peacock was just running loose in the Zoo. He was so pretty and liked to sit up there on that roof and watch the people go by. His mate was also running loose in the Zoo, she was very friendly and let us walk right up to her!
These two chimps were also adorable. The Chimp in the above picture is chewing on paper. The chimp below has a lip full of rice. They were hilarious with the rice. Apparently the keepers had given them paper enevlopes with cooked rice in each enevlope. Some of the chimps opened the enevlopes and ate the rice, others just ate the rice and enevlope all at once. They were very cute and the one below showed us every bite he took.
Its rough being a Grizzly Bear!
We had a great time and hope to go back soon as we still have more to see.
